Russian forces launched an airstrike on Sumy district
At night, Russian forces carried out an airstrike on a residential area of Sumy. As a result of the attack, a woman was wounded, buildings of a residential complex, as well as an administrative building and private houses were damaged. This was reported by the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office.
«According to the investigation, on the night of October 11 to 12, 2024, using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, the occupiers launched a massive airstrike on the civilian infrastructure of the city of Sumy. One missile hit the residential area, damaging a four-story apartment building. A 30-year-old woman was injured», – the statement reads.
According to law enforcement officers, as a result of the massive drone attack, administrative buildings and at least three private houses were damaged.
Pre-trial investigation is currently underway into violations of the laws and customs of war.

On the night of October 12, 2024, Russian forces attacked Ukraine again. Ukrainian forces managed to shoot down 24 enemy drones. The attack was carried out with missiles of an unspecified type launched from Belgorod and 28 attack drones from Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
Fire at an oil depot in Rovenky, Luhansk region
On the night of October 12, a fire occurred at an oil depot in Rovenky, Luhansk region. Local residents reported explosions in the area of the city of Rovenky. However, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that 47 Ukrainian drones had been shot down.
Later, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strike on the fuel and lubricants storage in the Rovenky area. This storage housed oil and petroleum products, which were supplied, among other things, for the needs of the Russian army.
Successful strike on the maritime oil terminal
Recall that on the night of Monday, October 7, Crimea was subjected to a massive drone attack. As a result, a significant fire occurred at the oil depot in Feodosia. Later, the Defense Forces of Ukraine confirmed a successful strike on the maritime oil terminal of the enemy, located in the temporarily occupied Feodosia.
The maritime oil terminal in the eastern part of Feodosia, near the village of Berehove, is the largest facility of its kind in Crimea. The terminal houses 250 thousand cubic meters of storage tanks. In addition, the peninsula has another oil terminal in Sevastopol. Both terminals operate year-round and can handle different types of cargo. They also have railway tracks.
Currently, a fire continues at the largest oil depot in Crimea, located in Feodosia.
