In the territory of Donetsk, which is under occupation, the situation with solid waste disposal is approaching a critical point. This was reported by the Center for National Resistance.

It is noted that the occupying authorities have failed to fulfill their obligations regarding waste collection and processing, resulting in discontent among the local population.

“The reasons for the catastrophic state of waste are obvious: during the occupation, the waste disposal system has malfunctioned due to lack of proper maintenance. The enemy has not only failed to restore its operation but also ignores problems in this area. As a result, the absence of waste separation, lack of specialized enterprises for processing, and chaotic waste accumulation have led to a critical deterioration of the waste disposal situation in these territories, resulting in serious environmental problems,” the report states.

The situation is complicated by a significant lack of personnel in communal services, as many workers have been forcibly taken into the Russian army.

“This proves that the occupiers do not care about the living conditions of Ukrainians in the occupied territories. The interests of Russia are limited to the exploitation of the region's resources and maintaining control over the local population,” the Center added.

It is reminded that the war has reached its 1074th day.

The enemy carried out 49 aviation strikes, involving 99 bomber aircraft and using 900 kamikaze drones. There were also about five thousand artillery shellings of our troops' positions and populated areas.

In total, since the beginning of the previous day, there have been 132 combat clashes. Ukrainian defenders are actively holding the defense, preventing the enemy from advancing deep into our territory and inflicting significant losses along the entire frontline.
