Heating season in Donetsk region under threat: OVA reported details.
The heating season in the Donetsk region is under threat due to active hostilities and Russian shelling. This was stated by the head of the Donetsk OVA, Vadim Filashkin.
Filashkin reported that heating will be provided in major cities such as Kramatorsk, Slovyansk, Dobropillia, and Druzhkivka.
“We will do everything possible and impossible to make the heating season easier in the city of Kostyantynivka, because a large number of people remain there as well”, - said Filashkin.
He also noted that the city of Kostyantynivka is shelled by the enemy daily and urged local residents to leave, as it poses a danger to them.
The government, together with regional military administrations and public authorities, is working on preparing infrastructure to ensure light and heat in all homes during winter. This includes accumulating resources and creating decentralized generation.
The heating season in Kyiv for social institutions began on October 14. The connection of residential buildings will start when the average daily temperature drops to eight degrees Celsius for three days. Kharkiv is also ready for the start of the heating season, but delays its onset due to good weather.
In Odesa, the heating season is also under threat due to the lack of generators in large district boiler houses. This could lead to a halt in heating in case of a blackout, as generators have not yet been delivered to the city.
