People scammed for over $200 thousand: organizers of the financial pyramid detained in Odesa region.

The criminals were detained for organizing financial pyramids
The Odesa police detained the organizers of the financial pyramids 'VinEco' and 'Vinex Trade'. According to the police, the criminals offered citizens to invest money in their company, promising high profits.
The founder of the 'pyramid' turned out to be a 28-year-old resident of Berezivka, who attracted acquaintances, women, and other individuals to the scam. The fraudsters created the illusion of the existence of the companies 'VinEco' and 'Vinex Trade', which were supposedly engaged in various activities, including investments, and claimed to be generating large profits. They promised investors high interest rates, guaranteed returns on investments, and additional payments for bringing in new investors.
The criminals spread false information about their activities on social networks, messengers, and websites. In order to attract people to the pyramid, they paid minimal amounts from the funds of other individuals, using the funds of unknown persons, while the contributions of investors were used for their own needs.
Hundreds of citizens have been victims of fraud
According to known facts, the criminals successfully deceived hundreds of citizens during 2022-2024. They invested tens of thousands of dollars in the financial pyramid. Seven individuals suffered losses of more than 200 thousand dollars.

Currently, the police have detained three individuals who have been notified of suspicion. They are accused of committing crimes by deception and seizing property of large size. The process to determine the preventive measure is ongoing. The police urge victims to contact them using the specified phone numbers.
Additionally, according to other data, the cryptocurrency exchange Bybit suffered losses of nearly 1.5 billion dollars as a result of a hacking attack.
