Christian Brueckner moves to a German town: residents in panic.
The relocation of the suspect caused panic
According to The Sun: Panic gripped a small German town when it became known that the suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, Christian Brueckner, had settled there after being released on Wednesday.
Parents have expressed their outrage at the authorities for allowing a pedophile to live in their town.

The Sun knows the name of the town but has decided not to disclose it.
One of the protesters stated:
“How can you let this beast out? Our justice system has been alarmed for far too long.”
Another local resident added:
“It doesn't matter that the police might be tracking his movements. They don't have a live camera, do they? He can harm children in a matter of minutes. This person should be behind bars.”
Letters from Brueckner seen by The Sun indicate his desire to hide after seven years in prison for rape.
He wrote:
“I don’t want to be recognized on the street at any time.”
He also admitted to being afraid to leave his cell, claiming he is waiting for
“physical assault or death from fellow inmates.”

Brueckner's dark past
Christian Brueckner's criminal history spans decades.
He was convicted in 1994 for sexual violence against children, and in 2016 again for a similar crime, this time in Portugal, just as Madeleine went missing.
He was later found guilty of raping an American woman in Praia da Luz in 2005 — just a few meters from the McCann's resort complex. However, last year he was acquitted in a separate case of rape and sexual violence.
An investigation by The Sun this year, aired on Channel 4, revealed shocking new evidence, including his obsession with abducting blondes.
Despite this, prosecutors consider him the main suspect. Walters had previously stated:
“There are no others. He is the only suspect.”
