PACE may discuss the situation with Ukrainian prisoners in Russia.
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe plans to discuss the situation with Ukrainian prisoners of war and citizens held captive in Russia during its next session at the end of September.
The PACE session will take place from September 30 to October 4 in Strasbourg, with debates on the agenda on the topic "Missing as a result of Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine: prisoners of war and civilians in captivity".
The political assembly will consider all requests for urgent debates at the beginning of the session and decide on holding these debates.
In addition, debates on the topic "Commemorating the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor: Ukraine again under threat of genocide" are scheduled for the afternoon of October 1.
The rapporteur will be Knut Aberhagham from Germany, after whose speech a vote on the draft resolution will take place.
