The government plans to increase pensions and childbirth benefits: details of the changes.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, has proposed reviewing the system of social payments, particularly regarding the increase in the basic pension. She also announced an increase in childbirth benefits for some families.
This was reported by the head of the government during the presentation of the government's action program, reports the correspondent of Novyny.LIVE.
Government plans for the coming years
According to Svyrydenko, 25 billion hryvnias are planned to be allocated for the year 2025, and 50 billion hryvnias for 2026 for the development of frontline regions. Compensation for destroyed housing, changes in the pension system, and the provision of social services are provided for. Increased childbirth benefits for 180 thousand families are also planned, as well as the program 'eNursery and eKindergarten' for 100 thousand families with children under three years old by 2026.
The government also plans to increase salaries for teachers and doctors in these areas. It is worth noting that earlier there was published information about the possibility of receiving payments of up to 800 thousand hryvnias for people with disabilities. Additionally, in August, residents of rural areas can take advantage of a support program funded by the humanitarian fund for Ukraine.
The government plans to spend large sums of money on the development of frontline regions, including childbirth benefits and salary increases for teachers and doctors in these areas. Furthermore, compensation for destroyed housing and the provision of social services are planned, which will contribute to the social protection of Ukrainians.
