The first shot and immediately a hit. The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine showcased a soldier who shot down a cruise missile.
Soldier Natalia Hrabarchuk destroyed a cruise missile with a MANPADS 'Igla' early in the morning on November 17. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on social media.
This combat launch and hit were the first for Natalia. She underwent a 5-month training course at a training center where she learned about various types of MANPADS.
Natalia Hrabarchuk previously worked as a preschool teacher, and since 2021 she has been a shooter of the anti-aircraft missile unit of the Halytsko-Volyn Radio Engineering Brigade of the Air Command 'West'.
Let us remind you that on November 17, Russia launched 120 cruise missiles and 90 drones at Ukraine. Ukraine shot down 102 missiles and 42 drones. Air defense operated in many regions of the country, including Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Volyn, and Lviv regions.
