PFU showed what pension working pensioners receive in Ukraine.
Distribution of pensioners in Ukraine as of January 1, 2025
The total number of pensioners in Ukraine is 10.3 million, reported the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
Of these, 2.8 million continue to work. According to the PFU report, the average pension for working pensioners is 6302.76 hryvnias, which is 513.71 hryvnias more than the average pension in the country.
The largest share of pensioners consists of old-age individuals - 72.59%. In second place are pensioners with disabilities - 15.21%. The overall average pension in Ukraine is 5789.05 hryvnias.
Survivor benefits are received by 6.51% of pensioners, 5.12% receive retirement benefits for years of service. Social pensions account for 0.53% of the total amount, while life annuities for judges amount to 0.04%.
Dynamics of pension amounts
Compared to last year, the share of pensioners receiving up to 3000 hryvnias decreased from 29.70% to 25.95%. The number of individuals receiving pensions from 5001 to 10000 hryvnias increased from 23.20% to 25.48%. The share of pensioners with payments over 10000 hryvnias also increased from 10.94% to 12.20%.
The least represented category of pensioners is those receiving from 4001 to 5000 hryvnias - 18.79%.
