Operation Spider: SBU Strikes a Third of Russia's Strategic Missile Carriers.
The Security Service of Ukraine successfully launched a massive drone strike on Russian airfields, resulting in damage to more than a dozen Russian aircraft. The operation, named Spider, targeted Russia's strategic aviation, rendering 34% of Russia's strategic carriers of cruise missiles inoperable, which is estimated at 7 billion US dollars.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with the head of the SBU Vasyl Maliuk and stated that this operation is the most long-range of the war. He published photographs from Maliuk's report and emphasized the success and significance of the operation carried out.
Reports of the SBU attacks on Russian airbases caused panic in the Moscow stock market, where the prices of Russian companies' stocks sharply fell. It was also confirmed yesterday that on June 2, negotiations between Ukrainian and Russian delegations will take place in Istanbul, during which Ukraine will present a roadmap for achieving a sustainable peace agreement.
