Germany allocates 5 billion euros to Ukraine: what will be included in the new aid package.
Germany has announced the allocation of five billion euros to Ukraine for military needs. The corresponding aid package has already been approved by the German parliament. An agreement on the financing of long-range weapons produced in Ukraine was signed in Berlin by representatives of both countries. By 2025, a significant number of such systems is planned to be manufactured and transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, additional artillery shells, ground weapons, small arms, and air defense systems will be supplied to the reserves of the Ukrainian army. Support in the areas of communication and medicine will also be provided by Germany. Furthermore, a contract has been signed by the Ukrainian side for the production of missile systems, with a total value of 2.2 billion euros.
The defense forces targeted important military-industrial complex facilities on the territory of Russia during the night of May 28. Among them are the Kronstadt factory, which produces drones, the Raduga factory, specializing in missiles, the Angstrom company, which works in microelectronics, and the Dmitrievsky plant, which produces chemical substances.
The mentioned enterprises suffered significant damage due to attacks by Ukrainian military drones. The strikes caused explosions and damage to equipment used for the production of drones, missiles, microelectronics, and chemical substances. These events once again confirmed the rapid response of the Ukrainian defense forces to threats to national security.
