The Kremlin refused to make the 'memorandum' public. The Russian side currently has no intention of revealing what conditions it will propose for a ceasefire in Ukraine in its draft 'memorandum'. This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov at a briefing on Thursday, May 29.

'We will not publicly discuss the content of drafts being exchanged (by the parties - ed.). Because all negotiations should be conducted in a closed, not public, manner,' he stated.

Peskov also called Ukraine's demand for 'immediate transfer of the memorandum' 'unconstructive'. According to him, Moscow offered a meeting in Istanbul on June 2, but has not yet received a response from Kyiv.

Ukraine demands from Russia the 'memorandum' ahead of a possible second round of negotiations with the Russians in Istanbul, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Georgiy Tikhi at a briefing on Thursday, May 29.

Turkey warned of consequences for Russia's 'inflexibility'

Russia risks finding itself in an unfavorable position if it does not show flexibility in peace negotiations with Ukraine. This was stated by Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on his way to Kyiv after a visit to Moscow, as reported by Anadolu news agency on Telegram.

He noted that in Kyiv he would discuss with the Ukrainian authorities the urgent need for a ceasefire and Turkey's position. Meetings with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and other officials are also planned.

Kremlin representatives refused to disclose details of the memorandum at the negotiations regarding a ceasefire in Ukraine. Ukraine is actively demanding the transfer of this document, claiming it is a key step towards a peaceful resolution of the conflict. Meanwhile, Turkey emphasized the need for flexibility on Russia's part for successful negotiations with Ukraine.
