Russia has shifted its attack plan on the Baltic countries: new timelines announced by Budanov.
According to ТСН: Russia has changed its plans regarding the offensive on western countries, reducing the possible start dates from 2030 to 2027.
This information was announced by Kyrylo Budanov, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in an interview.
“According to the main plan, the Russian Federation was supposed to be ready to start actions by 2030. Now the plans have been adjusted, revised to shorten the timeline to 2027. These are the Baltic countries,” he said.
Budanov also emphasized that Russia intends to seize the Baltic countries.
“Poland is currently considered, according to the plans we are aware of, purely for strikes, for a military campaign without occupation,” he added.
It was previously reported that American intelligence indicates that Putin does not plan to stop at Donbas, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions. His goal is control over all of Ukraine and conducting a broader campaign to regain territories of the former USSR under Moscow's control.
These statements indicate an escalation of military threats from Russia, which could significantly affect the security of not only Ukraine but also neighboring countries. Given the change in timelines and strategic goals, the international community continues to closely monitor the situation in the region.
