Every day at 9 AM, Ukrainians honor the memory of those who died in the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Taras Sabadash.
Taras Sabadash was born on April 2, 1976, in Lviv. He studied at the Lviv Special Secondary School-Internship and received his education at the Lviv Vocational Polytechnic Lyceum. After completing his studies, he served in the military in the Lviv region.
After military service, he engaged in private entrepreneurship in the construction sector. He was also interested in fishing, mushroom picking, and numismatics.
Since 2015, Taras Sabadash has been performing combat missions as part of the Anti-Terrorist Operation/Joint Forces Operation. He served in the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Courage and Service
Taras Sabadash participated in all large-scale operations against Russian occupiers in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and the Kharkiv counter-offensive operation. For his courage and diligent service, he was awarded numerous honors, including the Order for Courage of the III degree.
Funeral and Family
Taras Sabadash died on December 31, 2024. His funeral took place on January 6, 2025, at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul, and he was buried at Lychakiv Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, two sons, mother, brothers, and sister.

We remember those killed by Russian invaders, light candles of remembrance and bow our heads in sorrow during the nationwide moment of silence, honoring the bright memory of Ukrainian citizens who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all military personnel, civilians, and children, all who died in the struggle against Russian occupiers and as a result of the attack of hostile troops on Ukrainian cities and villages.
