The Ministry of Finance reports that in order to bring Ukraine closer to the European banking payment system SEPA, it is planned to create a Register of Accounts and Banking Individual Safes for Individuals. With the help of the State Tax Service, data on bank accounts, securities accounts, electronic wallets, and other forms of accounts, as well as information about their owners and the institutions where they are opened, will be included. However, the register will not include data on the movement of funds, account balances, or the contents of bank safes. Only specialized and competent authorities will have access to this register. The introduction of new rules is necessary for the official application for Ukraine's accession to SEPA, which will allow individuals and businesses to make euro payments between 36 countries in Europe quickly, without additional fees and under clearly defined rules.
