According to ТСН: The peace agreement with Russia, according to the head of the "Servant of the People" faction David Arakhamia, could be "bad, very bad, or it won’t exist at all." In this case, the war will continue.

Arakhamia emphasized that it is not worth hoping for a favorable agreement with Russia to stop hostilities.

"Although there are many people who still believe that we should insist on some fantastic terms of the agreement. That is, it will be either bad or very bad, we all understand. Or it won't exist,"
- noted the politician.

According to him, the pressure on Ukraine is greater than on Russia. Arakhamia noted that there is a chance to conclude an agreement, but this requires the involvement of the Americans.

"With the Americans now, despite the fact that they are putting more pressure on us than on them, we all understand, right? But there is a chance. Without them, I believe that there will be no chances, only a military solution to the problem will be possible,"
- he said.

The politician stressed that everyone knows the conditions that are critical for Ukraine. Security guarantees and the prevention of a repeated invasion are important for Ukraine, while Russia demands the transfer of Donbas, which the country cannot agree to.

"And here we have a red line that we cannot give up our Donbas. Even if some politicians were to appear who would propose this, I am sure, ... this is impossible to implement. Even to say this is impossible, ... and certainly cannot be put into any law, let alone voted on,"
- explained Arakhamia.

What Compromise Ukraine Might Agree to Regarding Donbas

Arakhamia believes that some hybrid models around Donbas are possible, but for this, the Russians must be ready.

"The State Department is looking for historical precedents that existed on complex issues: Bosnia-Herzegovina, what happened after the breakup of Yugoslavia,"
- he noted.

NATO Article 5 for Ukraine

In Arakhamia's opinion, even security guarantees under Article 5 of the NATO agreement are not 100% effective for Ukraine, since they have never been applied.

"But if you open and look at the 5th article of NATO on Wikipedia now, you will read that in the event of military aggression, NATO countries must gather and hold consultations within 72 hours. I apologize, but on February 24, within 72 hours, we almost lost Ukraine. This does not suit us. ... That is, there must be specifics: the number of weapons, which weapons, how many of us are in the army, how it is financed, how we have so-called deterrence packages, missiles there, and so on,"
- said the head of the "Servant of the People" faction.

In addition, Russian leader Putin threatened new territorial seizures of Ukraine in the event that negotiations are disrupted.

These statements by Arakhamia highlight the complexity of peace negotiations with Russia and emphasize the importance of international support, especially from the USA. Ukraine's policy in this context seeks not only to avoid further territorial losses but also to ensure security and stability in the region. The issues concerning Donbas remain in the spotlight, as further actions may significantly impact the situation in the country.
