From December 3rd, it will be possible to travel from Ukraine to Munich and Vienna by one train.
According to ТСН: In 2025, new international railway routes became available to Ukrainians, including direct connections from Przemysl to Munich, Vienna, and Budapest.
Starting from December 14, 2025, an international night train EN Carpatia will connect the border city Przemysl (Poland) with major cities in Europe — Munich, Vienna, Bratislava, and Budapest. The service is provided by the Polish railway carrier PKP Intercity.
This route will be convenient for passengers from Ukraine, thanks to connections with trains of 'Ukrzaliznytsia' from Lviv and Kyiv. Departure times are coordinated so that travelers can continue their journey across Europe without lengthy transfers.
The new service combines a daytime trip from Ukraine and an overnight journey across Europe without the need for an overnight stay in Poland. For example, leaving Kyiv or Lviv in the morning, one can already be in Vienna, Budapest, or Munich by the next morning.
Route and Schedule
The EN Carpatia train will depart from Przemysl at 17:51, proceeding through Rzeszow, Krakow, and Katowice. In the Czech city of Bohumin, some carriages will be directed to Bratislava and Budapest. The main train will continue its journey through Vienna, Linz, and Salzburg to Munich, arriving at 10:24 the following day. The travel time to Munich will be about 16.5 hours.
The return trip from Munich will depart at 18:45 and arrive in Przemysl at 10:10 the following day.
Travel Conditions and Comfort
The train belongs to the EuroNight category and offers several options for passenger accommodation:
seating places;
sleeper carriages (couchette);
a luxury class compartment equipped with sleeping and hygiene kits, snacks, and hot drinks. For comfortable rest, lights in the compartment are turned off from 22:00 to 06:00.
Ticket Prices
The minimum ticket price starts from 57 euros (approximately 2,750 UAH). For EuroNight trains, reservation of seats is mandatory.
Thus, the new EN Carpatia route opens up more opportunities for travelers from Ukraine who wish to travel stress-free to European cities. Convenient connections with the Ukrainian railway will ensure easy access for both tourists and businessmen looking to visit Western European countries at any time of the year.
