Serhiy Dobryak noted that the Defence Forces have already blocked the outskirts of the city and urged people to evacuate before the city is blocked. He added that the occupiers are 6.7 km away from Pokrovsk. There are 11,900 residents remaining in the city, including 55 children.
In a comment, Serhiy Dobryak explained that his words about blocking the city for entry and exit are not fully accurate. He pointed out that fortifications are being built in the city and certain areas of the city will be blocked, so he asks people not to leave the city, but to vacate these areas. Several tiers have already been built in the city, partially blocking streets and neighborhoods of Pokrovsk.
Earlier, slight advancements of Russian troops were observed near Kupiansk, southeast of Pokrovsk, and in the Vuhledar area. It was also reported that Ukrainian troops might be forced to leave Pokrovsk by the end of the year.
