According to TSN.ua: Job seekers in Poland’s marketing and warehousing sectors are facing major hurdles due to budget cuts, the rise of artificial intelligence, and intensified competition. The employment situation has become particularly tough in marketing, communications, warehousing, and logistics—fields that once offered steady opportunities.
Gabriela, a 28-year-old who has been looking for a marketing role since August 2022, has seen these shifts firsthand. Her position was eliminated shortly before her employer went bankrupt at the end of 2024. She explains:
“Luckily, I had a permanent contract, so I received severance pay. I decided to take a month or two off, then start looking for a new job.”
For Ukrainians in Poland, language requirements and qualification demands are becoming stricter. This is especially evident as competition for lower-skilled positions grows. The era of easy employment is over, and finding a job has become much more difficult.
One social media user shared their frustration:
“What’s going on? Since December, I’ve sent out 550 applications for warehouse jobs. Not a single response. I have over seven years of warehouse experience and a secondary education. They don’t even want to hire me.”
Economic Shifts and Their Impact
Poland’s labor market is undergoing profound changes, and it’s clear that workers in industries once known for high demand are now facing new obstacles.
These employment difficulties point to broader economic transformations that could have lasting effects on the workforce. Rising competition and the adoption of new technologies—especially artificial intelligence—are reshaping employer expectations. As a result, many people who previously found work without trouble now find their experience and qualifications no longer meet the market’s evolving needs.
