Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives were taken by the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Yurii Borshovskyi.

Yurii Borshovskyi was a soldier who began defending his homeland from Russian occupiers from the very start of the Russian Federation's invasion. He died in battle on April 13, 2025. This was reported by the Lviv City Council based on information from Glavkom.

Yurii Borshovskyi was born on May 6, 1991, in Lviv. He studied at Lyceum No. 38 of the Lviv City Council and later received professional education at the Higher Vocational School No. 63 in Lviv, which currently is called the Lviv Higher Vocational School of Transport Technologies and Service of the National Transport University.

Before the start of the Russian invasion, Borshovskyi worked at a plywood factory and at local enterprises in Lviv. He was known as a very friendly person who always tried to help others.

After the beginning of the Russian invasion, Borshovskyi joined the 21st Special Purpose Battalion of the Separate Presidential Brigade named after Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytskyi of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He participated in combat operations in Donetsk.

Yurii Borshovskyi died on April 13, 2025, while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk. His funeral took place on April 17, 2025, at the Church of the Sacred Heart of Christ in Ryasne, and he was buried at the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv.

Yurii Borshovskyi was deeply mourned by his mother and sister with the family. Together with Glavkom, we join in a moment of silence to honor the memory of all fallen Ukrainians who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state in the fight against Russian occupiers and attacks on Ukrainian cities and villages.
