According to The Sun: Streamer and cosplayer Emiru became a victim of an attack during a meet-and-greet with fans on the first day of TwitchCon 2025 in San Diego. A video surfaced online showing one of the attendees approaching Emiru and allegedly grabbing her without her consent and attempting to kiss her.

Law enforcement quickly responded to the situation and removed the attacker from the scene.
