Nutcracker Strike on Lviv: Expert Reveals True Purpose of Russian Attack

According to ТСН: The strike by the Russian missile 'Nutcracker' on Lviv had a political and psychological character, rather than a strategic military significance.

Such an opinion was expressed by expert in radio technologies Serhiy Beskrestnov with the call sign 'Flash' on Telegram.

Demonstration for the West

According to the expert, the choice of target in western Ukraine was not accidental. Moscow sought to demonstrate to European countries its determination and technical capabilities, particularly the ability to reach targets near NATO borders.

'I cannot comment on anything before official sources, but the strike with the 'Nutcracker' on Lviv was not meant to achieve something globally impactful. I believe this was a message addressed to Europe about the capabilities and determination of the RF. Therefore, a western city in Ukraine was chosen for the strike,' notes Beskrestnov.

Energy of the Strike: 'Burned Collection of Lenin'

The expert cites an example of the kinetic energy of the damaging elements of the missile. He emphasizes that the warheads have high penetration capacity, but it is not as impressive as presented by Russian media.

'To understand the energy of the damaging elements of this strike with one example: it penetrated two ceiling slabs and burned the complete collection of works of Lenin in the premises. I am not joking,' added the specialist.

Debunking Myths about 'Deep Strikes'

Serhiy 'Flash' also questioned the claims of Russian propagandists about the ability of the 'Nutcracker' to hit protected bunkers at great depth.

According to him, information that warheads supposedly penetrate tens of meters into the ground is not true. The real consequences of the strikes indicate that the capabilities of the missile are exaggerated by enemy propaganda aimed at intimidating the population and the international community.

It should be noted that the RF army for the first time during the war struck Lviv with a medium-range ballistic missile 'Nutcracker'. According to military data, the missile was moving on a ballistic trajectory at a speed of about 13,000 kilometers per hour, which is considered 'ultra-high speed'.

These events highlight the continuation of tension in the region and demonstrate how military attacks can have not only military but also political objectives. The analysis of experts regarding such strikes helps to better understand the true scale and intentions of the aggressor, as well as the impact on international security.
