The life of Ukraine's defender was cut short on June 3, 2023, due to injuries sustained in the Donetsk direction as a result of a mortar-artillery shelling in the area of Avdiivka. This was reported by the Lokhvytsia City Council.
Oleh Buyakin was born on September 20, 1996, in the village of Bilohorilka in the Lokhvytsia city community of Myrhorod district, Poltava region. After completing nine grades of the local school in 2012, he entered the Reshetylivka professional lyceum, where he acquired the profession of an electric gas welder.
From 2014, the young man worked according to his profession in the capital company "Ukrtrans". In September 2020, he moved to the village of Luka.
Before the war, Oleh worked abroad. When enemy Russian troops invaded Ukraine's territory, Oleh Buyakin, following his heart, volunteered to go to the front.
He served with the rank of a soldier in the Separate Presidential Brigade named after Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky.

Ukraine's defender rests at cemetery No. 1 in the village of Luka. The fallen warrior was 26 years old.
Awarding of the Order
On June 28, 2024, for courage and selfless actions demonstrated in defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath, by the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated 28.06.2024, No. 401, soldier Oleh Buyakin, born in 1996, was awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree (posthumously).
Oleh Buyakin is survived by his father, mother, and sister.

We remember those killed by the hands of Russian invaders, we light memory candles and bow our heads in sorrow during the national moment of silence, honoring the bright memory of citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all military personnel, civilians, and children, all who died in the fight against Russian occupiers and as a result of the enemy troops' attack on Ukrainian cities and villages.
