On the night of November 28, 2024, Ukraine was attacked with missiles of various types and drones. A total of 80 missiles and 30 Shahed drones were shot down.

Data on the attack

According to the Radio Technical Troops of the Air Forces, 188 aerial targets were detected, including:

  • three S-300 missiles in the Kharkiv region from the Belgorod region;
  • 57 X-101 missiles from the Tu-95MS, launched from the Volgograd region;
  • 28 Caliber missiles in the waters of the Black Sea;
  • three aviation missiles X-59/69 in the airspace over the Black Sea;
  • 97 Shahed drones and others of unknown origin from various areas.

Targets destroyed

The attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, EW units, the Air Forces, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine. As of 10:30, the following targets were destroyed:

  • 76 X-101/Caliber missiles;
  • three X-59/69 missiles;
  • 35 Shahed drones and other unidentified drones (62 enemy drones disappeared from locations).

It should be noted that on the night of November 28, Russia again shelled Ukraine with Caliber and X-101 missiles from Tu-95 aircraft.

An attack on the Ukrainian energy system was also recorded, leading to emergency power outages. Over 500,000 people in the Lviv region were left without electricity.

According to Ukrenergo, emergency shutdowns will last until 20:00.

There were also reports of missile debris falling in some areas of Kyiv.

As a result of the attack, both Volyn and Vinnytsia regions suffered damage. There are casualties, damaged houses, and a car caught fire.

Early in the morning of November 28, a missile strike affected the infrastructure of the Shostka community in Sumy region. All necessary services are working on site, and the consequences of the attack are being assessed.
