IAEA recorded a fire near the Zaporizhzhia NPP: radiation levels remained unchanged.
On Tuesday, July 12, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) recorded a fire near the cooling towers of the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. However, this did not affect the radiation level.

What is known about the situation at the ZNPP
'IAEA staff at the Zaporizhzhia NPP... noticed smoke coming from the administrative building of the plant following reports of a fire near the cooling towers. An increase in radiation levels, harm to nuclear safety has not been recorded, there are no injuries,' the report states.
In addition, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi confirmed that during the incident, no increase in radiation levels was recorded.
It is worth noting that on the night of July 13, hundreds of shots from firearms were heard at the Zaporizhzhia NPP. IAEA commission members also found shell casings near the reactor blocks of the plant.
We also reported that on July 4, the Russian army struck the power line connecting the ZNPP with the unified energy system of Ukraine. As a result, there was a power outage.
