A serviceman was detained for transporting a conscript for $4000: details of the case.
Recently, a serviceman of the special forces was accused of transporting a conscript from the training center for a reward. This statement was made by the State Bureau of Investigation on August 14.
Charges in action for a UDO employee
According to the police, in July of this year, the serviceman negotiated with military acquaintances about transporting a cadet outside the unit for a payment of 4000 dollars. The deputy commander of the same unit was also involved in the case. At the agreed time, the officer transported the young man outside the military facility, where another accomplice was waiting for him in a car.
'The police stopped a car heading towards Kyiv and detained the conscript and his 'assistant'. The car contained a service ID, money, military uniform, and other documents.'
The serviceman has been charged with bribery, while the cadet of the training center faces charges of desertion. The deputy commander acted under the control of law enforcement officers, who are also investigating his possible involvement in the transport of other individuals from military units and training centers in the Chernihiv region. Preventive measures for the suspects include detention without the possibility of bail.
It should be noted that on August 13, 150 simultaneous searches were carried out throughout Ukraine as part of a special operation to close channels for transporting conscription-age men abroad. Also, nearly 30 evaders were previously uncovered during the 'Guardian' operation.
The conspiracy of the serviceman and his accomplices in transporting a person from the training center for money was revealed after the car they were using to transport the cadet was stopped by the police. During the investigation, the suspects were also detained, and compromising evidence was seized.Read also
