Tractors and Milkmaids Receive Preferential Pensions: Who Else is Entitled to Benefits.
Ukrainian legislation provides for the granting of preferential pensions for certain categories of citizens, in particular, agricultural workers. This is reported by one of the regional offices of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU).
Who Among Agricultural Workers is Entitled to Preferential Pensions
According to the fund's information, only a few categories of agricultural workers are entitled to preferential pensions. These include tractor drivers and machinists who have the appropriate insurance experience and have worked directly with the production of agricultural products in collective farms, state farms, and other agricultural enterprises.
- Men can receive a preferential pension after reaching 55 years of age and having at least 30 years of experience, including 20 years in such work.
- Women who worked as tractor drivers and machinists can receive a pension after 55 years and having at least 25 years of experience, including 15 years in the specified work.
In addition, milkmaids and pig operators also have the right to preferential pensions. Mothers of many children who work in agriculture and have raised at least five children up to the age of 14 can also receive this pension. This opportunity is not available to men.
How Pensions for Agricultural Workers are Calculated
Pensions for agricultural workers are calculated on general grounds, taking into account the total insurance experience and salary. To confirm special experience, citizens must provide the relevant certificate from their workplace to the PFU.
Let us remind you that the minimum pension level of approximately 3,760 UAH is guaranteed to certain categories of citizens in Ukraine, including close relatives of deceased military personnel.
Preferential pensions for agricultural workers are special payments provided to certain categories of workers who have worked in agriculture. This is aimed at supporting and honoring people who devoted years of their lives to hard and difficult work in the fields. In addition, such preferential conditions provide an opportunity to improve the social status and quality of life of rural residents, ensuring them a decent pension.
