Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris arrived in Kyiv to meet with President Zelenskyy. This was reported by the Irish broadcaster RTE.

A journalist from the publication released a video of Harris at the Kyiv train station.

Harris and Zelenskyy will discuss Russia's war against Ukraine, EU support for Ukraine, and Kyiv's application for EU membership. The Irish Prime Minister's visit follows yesterday's Russian missile strike on Poltava, which killed at least 53 people.

Speaking ahead of today's visit, Harris said: «Russia's military strike and the killing of dozens in Poltava on Tuesday is a grim and horrific reminder of the threat Ukraine faces daily. We express our outrage and condolences to the families of the victims».

The Irish Prime Minister and the Ukrainian President will sign a memorandum of understanding on a new bilateral agreement between the two countries.

The agreement, discussed by the Irish government yesterday, expresses Ireland's solidarity with Ukraine and its right to defend against Russia's illegal invasion. However, the agreement aligns with Ireland's status as a neutral country and stipulates that any future aid provided to Ukraine will remain non-lethal.

It should be noted that the number of Ukrainian refugees living in state-provided housing in Ireland has significantly decreased. Over the course of a year, nearly 17,500 people have left such accommodations. The government is closing dozens of centers that provide housing for Ukrainians.

For reference, in August, President Zelenskyy approved the delegation that will participate in negotiations with the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland on preparing to conclude an Agreement between Ukraine and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on transitioning from strategic partnership to a new level of relations.
