Residents Share Their Accounts
Olha, a resident of one of the damaged homes, described her experience:
“I wouldn’t wish what I’m feeling right now on anyone. But I’m very grateful that my family is alive.”She added, “The second floor is gone. The first floor is still standing, but one more rain and it will be gone too.” Another witness, Natalia, speculated about the circumstances of the incident: 'Judging by the fact that the verandas are gone, she must have been somewhere in the kitchen.'
This tragedy underscores the ongoing danger faced by civilians in conflict zones. The safety and protection of non-combatants remains a critical issue in all discussions surrounding the war.
Recent shelling in Odesa Oblast highlights the persistence of violence in the region, raising alarm among local residents and the international community. Such incidents emphasize the urgent need for stronger measures to protect civilians and deliver humanitarian aid to those affected by the conflict. As the war continues, security concerns for ordinary people—who face the daily threat of violence—become ever more pressing.
