Border guards at the border with Poland discovered 109 Olympic Games coins in the possession of a citizen of Bukovina. This was reported by the Western Regional Department of the State Border Service.
The coins were found by border guards at the 'Krakivets' checkpoint.
A 32-year-old resident of Bukovina attempted to bring the coins into Ukraine. During the inspection of his luggage, the border guards found 109 Olympic Games coins from various years, which were in a cardboard box in the luggage compartment. The man chose the green corridor for passing through customs control. He claims that he received this package in Germany and was supposed to deliver it to Chernivtsi.
The customs confiscated the coins and drew up a report on the violation of customs regulations.
Earlier, border guards at the 'Ustyluh' checkpoint in Volyn confiscated a collection of coins from a man that were produced in the last century.
