PrivatBank shocked a client with allegations of 'financing terrorism': all operations blocked.
A PrivatBank client reported that his bank accounts were suddenly blocked without warning. He wrote about this on the Minfin portal.
According to the client, the bank accused him of money laundering and financing terrorism, referring to legislation.
'My experience with PrivatBank ended in a disaster that I wouldn't wish on anyone. The bank blocked access to all my accounts without any warning! It was only the next day that I received a notification accusing me of money laundering and financing terrorism, referring to legislation,' - said the man.
The bank blocked all transactions related to the client's identification code, complicating banking operations and harming business relations with partners.
'This is not only an absurd and unfounded slander but also a gross violation of my rights. Moreover, the bank blocked any transactions involving my identification code. This created chaos and disrupted my financial obligations, as well as caused inconvenience to my partners and serious reputational losses,' - emphasized the bank client.
The client claims that the bank's actions violate legislation and that the accusations are unfounded.
'PrivatBank's actions jeopardized my financial stability and reputation, making even ordinary banking operations impossible. I advise everyone to think carefully before trusting this bank with their funds, as you may find yourself in a similar situation tomorrow!', - added the man.
PrivatBank stated that it operates within the framework of legislation and regulatory acts. The bank must comply with safety requirements and financial monitoring rules.
'All measures are taken in accordance with internal procedures and meet the safety requirements and compliance with financial monitoring rules in Ukraine. The bank is obliged to take measures aimed at preventing and countering the legalization of income obtained through crime; financing terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Your service is limited. Upon termination of business relations, the possibility of transferring balances to another bank is provided,' - the message says.
The bank also provided recommendations for transferring funds to other accounts.
- Account details opened at another bank in your name.
- Documents confirming the authority to manage the accounts.
- Documents identifying the individual.
- Document confirming registration in the State Register of Individuals - Taxpayers.
- Application for the transfer of fund balances.
'To receive funds from other users to another account, we recommend using the replenishment channels of the bank where it is opened,' - emphasized PrivatBank.
PrivatBank previously introduced the 'Diya.Card' service for state payments.
