Mobilization Problems in Ukraine: Deputy Commander of the Corps Criticized the Methods.
According to inkorr.com: The Deputy Commander of the Third Army Corps, Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Maksym Zhorin believes that the current mobilization methods negatively affect the quality of personnel and undermine the principles of fairness during conscription in wartime.
“I understand that someone decides to fulfill plans in this way, but because we are mobilizing homeless people, old men, and sick individuals, no one in the army is better off. Every year the quality of personnel gets worse, everyone knows this. It's not only about training, but also about the categories of citizens who get into the military. We do not touch gyms and restaurants in the cities, instead, we send homeless people to the units”, - emphasized the military.
The Need for a Technological Army
Zhorin noted that it is difficult for Ukraine to compete with Russia in terms of numbers. He emphasized that the nation needs a technological and well-trained army. It makes no sense to replenish it with candidates who are physically or morally incapable of fulfilling military duties.
Fairness in Mobilization
According to him, fairness in the mobilization process in Ukraine needs improvement.
Colonel Zhorin's address highlights the importance of not only the quantity but also the quality of servicemen, which is the foundation for the effective defense of the country. In wartime conditions, it is important for the mobilization system to be transparent and fair, which will allow for the recruitment of truly prepared and suitable candidates into the army.
