Protesters in Iran seize two cities and call for help from Trump.
According to ТСН: Protesters in Iran have taken control of two cities in the west of the country. They are calling on the President of the United States for help in their fight against the regime of the Ayatollah.
According to representatives of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, significant events occurred in the areas of Abdanan and Malekshahi in Ilam province, leading to the cities being seized by the protesters.
"Despite all the actions of the regime, the factor of fear seems to have changed, as people forced the repressive forces to flee."
Protesters are celebrating their victory, shouting slogans like "Death to Khamenei!" and demanding the overthrow of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Maryam Rajavi, the head of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, also supported the protesters, emphasizing that they "forced the regime's agents to retreat."
Scale of the Protests
It is known that protests have spread across more than 60 cities in 25 provinces. The largest demonstrations are taking place in Tehran, while the most violent clashes are occurring in the west and southwest of the country, particularly in Malekshahi, Kermanshah, and Lorestan. The escalation of violence by security forces includes the use of shotguns and tear gas to disperse the demonstrators.
Such actions by the regime have prompted protesters to reach out to the President of the United States. In their appeal, which has gone viral on social media, a woman held a sign saying, "Trump, symbol of peace. Don't let them kill us." Similar messages have also appeared on the walls of cities.
This call for help comes amid reports of at least 29 deaths and over 1200 detained protesters. The protests, which began against the backdrop of an economic crisis and political dissatisfaction, are growing every day. Mass demonstrations began in late December due to a sharp decline in the national currency, to which the authorities responded with repression.
The President of the United States had previously threatened intervention in the situation in Iran if the violence against peaceful protesters did not cease.
The situation in Iran remains tense as protesters are not only monitoring events in their country but also actively expressing their dissatisfaction with the political regime. The authorities, in turn, are trying to suppress the protest mood through forceful methods. It is important to note that the international community is closely watching these events, and the reaction, particularly from the U.S., could significantly affect the further development of the situation in the region.
