Ukraine showed Long Neptune: a new missile capable of 1000 km prepares surprises for the Russian Federation.
According to FREEДOM: Recently, photos of the modernized Ukrainian cruise missile 'Neptune', also known as 'Long Neptune', were presented. It can strike targets at a distance of up to 1000 kilometers. Military expert Vladislav Seleznev noted that the successful use of this missile could lead to unpleasant consequences for the Russians.
“A year ago, I could talk to Oleg Korostylev, the general director of KB 'Luch', which is the developer of the 'Neptune' missile. They have impressive achievements,” Seleznev emphasized.
The expert recalled that in April 2022, Ukrainian troops sank the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, the cruiser 'Moscow'. He also emphasized that the 'Neptune' and 'Flamingo' missiles could pose a serious threat to Russia, as there are currently no effective means to counter them.
“We are acquiring more and more resources that could become key in the diplomatic confrontation with Moscow. These arguments will be significant in discussing joint solutions with Russian partners,” Seleznev is confident.
Seleznev believes that currently, the important question is increasing the production volumes of these missiles to enhance Ukraine's defense capabilities and deter any aggressive actions by Russia.
