Payment Card Ratings in Ukraine: Monobank Lost Active Clients, Privatbank and Oschadbank Grew.
Growth of Payment Cards in Ukraine
In the first three months of 2025, the total number of payment cards in Ukraine increased by 4.1% to 137.4 million. However, only 1.2% of the cards are considered active, meaning at least one transaction was made with them in a month, totaling 59.4 million cards. This data was published by the National Bank of Ukraine.
Stable Leadership of Privatbank
Privatbank continues to maintain its leading positions, showing an increase in the total number of active cards by 2.6% for January-March 2025. Currently, the bank accounts for 58.17 million cards, confirming its influence in the market.
The number of active cards at Privatbank increased by 1.4% and reached a record 31.97 million pieces.
Oschadbank, A-Bank, and Raiffeisen Bank also showed impressive results, which also noted significant growth in the number of their cards in the first quarter of the current year.
