At Sharm El Sheikh airport, an advertising billboard fell on tourists from Kazakhstan who were waiting to board a flight to Astana. As a result of this, one woman died and two others were injured. The incident occurred during the boarding wait when the advertising structure fell directly on the people nearby.
«We have already contacted the relatives of the deceased, the consul is helping them with all matters. The injured have received necessary medical assistance, their health is not in danger. The Egyptian side expresses its sincere condolences regarding the tragic death of a citizen of Kazakhstan,» – stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
The Minister of Civil Aviation of Egypt has taken personal control of the incident and has already sent a commission to the scene to investigate the circumstances of the event. Investigative measures are currently being taken to establish the causes of the accident.
