Russia is throwing all available forces to break through Ukrainian defenses: what is the situation in Pokrovsk.
In the city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk region, Russian occupiers are trying to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops, reported the spokesman of the operational-strategic group of troops 'Khortytsia' Viktor Trehubov. He noted that the Russians are using all their forces, but currently there are no active battles in the city and its outskirts.
The occupying forces of Russia are trying to surround Pokrovsk from the side, avoiding direct confrontation with the Ukrainian army. However, so far no actions of sabotage and reconnaissance groups have been recorded. In addition, Russia plans to capture positions near the city, as battles in Pokrovsk are very difficult.
Experts believe that Vladimir Putin is likely postponing the capture of Pokrovsk, ordering his troops to control new territories in the east. This may be related to the slowdown in achieving the Kremlin's geopolitical goals. It is also possible that the pace of the Russian advance may decrease due to the decline in the effectiveness of their troops.
