At the summit in Alaska, Russia took steps towards a resolution, indicating that they would supposedly abandon the full occupation of Ukraine in exchange for some Ukrainian territories. There are indications that Washington has already informed European leaders about the Kremlin's proposals.
This was stated by US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff on CNN.Russia is also required to include in its Constitution the obligation not to attack EU countries. The special envoy added that Russia has agreed to signals regarding the intention not to occupy the entire Ukraine. Regarding the five regions mentioned, Witkoff did not provide details, but stated that these issues require attention.Witkoff also noted that the US has observed 'moderation' in Russia and believes that progress has been made towards a final peace agreement. Diplomats have informed Europeans about this after the summit and collectively believe they are moving forward.After the summit in Alaska, Russia declared its readiness to abandon the full occupation of Ukraine in favor of some Ukrainian territories. American Special Envoy Steve Witkoff emphasized that this is a step towards reconciliation and a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
