During the night from December 21 to 22, the enemy launched an attack on the territory of Ukraine using 103 Shahed-type attack drones and other UAVs. This was reported by the Air Forces.

The drones were launched from various areas, including Bryansk, Millerovo, Oryol, Kursk, Primorsk-Akhtarsk, and Berdyansk. There was also a documented launch of a ballistic missile 'Iskander-M' from Crimea towards Kherson.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are defending themselves using anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

“As of 10:00, the downing of 52 Shahed-type attack drones and other UAVs in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions has been confirmed,” the message states.

42 drones were lost, and one UAV flew towards Belarus.

In Kherson, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Zhytomyr, and Kyiv regions, private enterprises, apartment buildings, and civilians' property were damaged due to the Russian attack, but there is currently no information about casualties. Assistance is being provided to those affected.

Earlier, rescuers showed the aftermath of the attack on a house in Kyiv region, which was hit by debris from a Shahed UAV.

Enemy attack

In the past day, the enemy carried out one missile and 35 air strikes on the territory of Ukraine, dropping 60 guided aviation bombs. They also used 629 kamikaze drones and conducted over 4000 shellings of the Armed Forces' positions and populated areas.

A total of 169 combat engagements with the enemy have been recorded. The Ukrainian military continues to decisively repel enemy attempts to break deep into the territory and inflict damage on them.
