Drone attack by Russian forces on Chernihiv region

According to inkorr.com: On the night of October 4, Russian troops launched a new drone strike on the Chernihiv region. As a result of the attacks, several power supply facilities were damaged, leading to a power outage affecting around 50 thousand consumers. This was reported by 'Glavkom', referring to data from 'Chernihivoblenergo' and the State Emergency Service of Chernihiv region.

Representatives of 'Chernihivoblenergo' confirmed that the strikes damaged power supply systems, which in turn caused emergency outages. Rescue services are currently working at the scene, eliminating the aftermath of the strike, and energy workers have already started restoring damaged networks.

Schedule of outages and a call for saving energy

Despite the recent damages, the region continues to operate under a scheduled power outage scheme of 'three on, three off' (three hours with electricity, three hours without). 'Chernihivoblenergo' also urged residents to conserve electricity to help the system recover faster.

The situation is under control of the relevant services. Energy workers assure that they are doing everything possible to avoid new outages.

It should be noted that earlier that night, the Russian occupation army also attacked Chernihiv, which resulted in some critical infrastructure facilities being damaged.

After the attack, Ukrainian heads of local administrations urgently introduced hourly power outages, and the population was urged to conserve resources. Special services are already actively working to eliminate the consequences of the attack and implement measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
