Russian Military Attacks on Ukraine
According to UATV: On March 24, 2023, Russian forces launched strikes on several Ukrainian cities, including Dnipro, Kherson, and the Kharkiv region, resulting in civilian casualties. In Dnipro, a drone struck a 14-story residential building, injuring at least nine people, among them an 18-month-old boy. The child is reported to be in moderate condition. The attack also damaged eight apartment buildings and two kindergartens.
Shelling in Kherson and Kharkiv Region
In Kherson’s Central District, Russian troops used multiple rocket launchers to carry out an attack. One person was killed, and two others were wounded. Direct hits destroyed two private homes and a garage.
“When it was flying, I covered myself with a blanket. I was buried because the strike hit our garage directly. People said it was a rocket. Half the house was blown away,” said a Kherson resident.
Additionally, in the Kharkiv region, Russian forces targeted a commuter train, killing one passenger. These incidents highlight the ongoing armed aggression that continues to inflict significant harm on civilians and infrastructure in Ukraine.
These attacks across Ukraine underscore the persistent threat to civilian life and infrastructure amid the armed conflict. International organizations report that such shelling constitutes a severe humanitarian crisis, demanding urgent action from the global community. The situation remains tense, and further developments could impact regional security and international relations.
