Russia attacked energy facilities with 18 ballistic missiles

According to Novyny.live: President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported on Russia's missile attack on energy infrastructure on the night of January 13, during which 18 ballistic missiles were launched. This attack is another manifestation of aggression against Ukraine, which continues to fight for the preservation of its energy system in conditions of war.

In connection with this attack, air defense forces managed to shoot down 64 drones of the 'Shahed' type, which were also used in aggressive actions. Despite the efforts of the air defense, the situation in the capital remains difficult: the city has recorded problems with energy, noting the lack of light and heating.

Volodymyr Zelensky noted that 'the weather adds challenges - extraordinary challenges'.

He also emphasized that 'the effectiveness of local communities largely depends on the professionalism of local governance'. In turn, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko stated that the government is actively working to restore the full energy supply of Ukraine as soon as possible.

Challenges for Ukrainians

This situation once again demonstrates the complexity and tension that Ukrainians face in wartime. The energy infrastructure remains under threat, and state authorities are taking all possible measures to protect the population and restore energy supply.

The attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure underscores the continuation of military aggression by Russia, which has serious consequences for the civilian population. In the conditions of winter and worsening weather, the lack of electricity and heating could lead to a humanitarian crisis, requiring urgent action from the government and the international community.

Restoring energy supply is a critically important task that requires a comprehensive approach and coordination of efforts at all levels.
