Russia strikes Kyiv with missiles
On Saturday morning, January 18, Russia launched an attack on Kyiv, firing ballistic missiles. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, on Telegram, as reported by 'Khvylia'.
As a result of the shelling, fires were recorded, and four people died in the Shevchenkivskyi district, while three were injured. Debris also fell in the Holosiivskyi district without consequences.
According to the State Emergency Service, as a result of the enemy attack, the administration building, a business center, a store, and a main water pipeline were damaged in the Shevchenkivskyi district. The fire was extinguished, but several vehicles and buildings were affected.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that the entrance to the 'Lukyanivska' metro station was damaged as a result of the attack, which has been closed for entry and exit. The water supply pipeline in the Shevchenkivskyi district was also damaged.
Currently, rescuers and dozens of fire and rescue vehicles are working on site. The situation remains tense.
Videos and photos from the strike location have also emerged, showing destruction and damage in Kyiv.
It is noteworthy that Putin's terrorists also launched an attack on Kryvyi Rih.
