According to inkorr.com: On the night of October 29, Russian aggressors dealt a serious blow to the civilian infrastructure of the Odesa region. According to the Odesa Regional Military Administration, there have been reported injuries among people, as well as damage to energy and transportation facilities.

“After the active operation of the air defense, damages to energy and transportation facilities were recorded. Unfortunately, there are injured individuals who received the necessary medical assistance. A fire broke out, which was promptly extinguished by rescuers. Some consumers were temporarily left without electricity. Energy workers are already working on its restoration. The critical infrastructure facilities are operating on generators,” the Odesa OVA reports.

Response of DTEK to the consequences of the attack

The DTEK company reported that during the nighttime attack, the Russian Federation struck an energy facility in the Odesa region. Thanks to the efforts of energy workers, some critical infrastructure facilities and residential buildings were able to be reconnected to backup lines, which allowed for the restoration of electricity for 7,000 families. Meanwhile, 26,900 homes remain without electricity.

It is also worth noting that the terrorists' attack on the night of October 29 caused numerous explosions, which required the activation of the air defense system. These attacks significantly affected railway connections in the region, resulting in delays for two trains.

As a result of the attack by Russian terrorists on the Odesa region, energy and transportation facilities were damaged, and part of the population was left without electricity. Thanks to the efforts of energy workers and rescuers, the fires were extinguished; however, the situation remains complicated due to ongoing damages.

Recovery is ongoing in the Odesa region after the nighttime attacks, which had serious consequences for the civilian infrastructure and the lives of local residents. While energy workers are working to restore electricity, rescuers continue to eliminate the aftermath of the explosions, trying to ensure the safety of citizens under difficult conditions.
