Meeting between Zelensky and Trump
A meeting took place in New York between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and American President Donald Trump.
During the meeting, Zelensky mentioned that Ukrainian defenders liberated 360 square kilometers in the last few weeks: 'Our soldiers captured 360 square kilometers in the last day and surrounded 1 thousand soldiers; of course, we want to exchange, but in any case, we need our soldiers back.'
Zelensky positively assessed his meeting with Trump. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing 'Suspilne'.
'It was a very good meeting today... It was probably the most meaningful one,' the president shared about his impressions after the meeting with Trump at the UN General Assembly.
After the meeting, Trump posted noting that Ukraine could restore its territorial integrity with the support of the European Union and possibly 'go even further.' He shared his thoughts on the social network Truth Social, according to 'Glavkom'.
Trump is confident that, after analyzing the military and economic situation in both countries, he concluded that Ukraine has the potential to fight and regain all its territories. He emphasized that for this, 'time, patience, and financial support' from Europe and NATO are necessary.
The American leader characterized Russia as a 'paper tiger' because, in his opinion, a true military power could end the war in a week, while the RF has been fighting for three and a half years.
The meeting between Zelensky and Trump underscored the importance of support and cooperation between Ukraine and the USA in the context of the conflict with Russia.
