The Threat of Poison-Laced Drones

According to Novyny.live: Russian military forces have begun coating their drones with toxic chemical agents for use in attacks against Ukraine. This development creates a severe safety hazard for both military personnel and civilians. In light of this new tactic, Ukrainian military officials and experts are urging extreme caution and advising people to avoid all contact with the wreckage of enemy unmanned aerial vehicles.

An Urgent Warning from the Front

Tamara Koval, a specialist with the strike drone unit of the 3rd Motorized Infantry Battalion, 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, emphasized the critical need for vigilance. She warned against any interaction with enemy drones, even those that appear intact and have not detonated.

'For your own safety, do not make contact with enemy drones, even if they have not exploded,' stated Tamara Koval.

She further added: 'Any drone whose origin you do not know should not be touched at all. [...] If you don't know where it came from or how it operates, it's better not to touch it.'

Civilians who discover drone debris or intact unmanned vehicles are advised to immediately report them to military or emergency services. This is a vital step in preventing potential casualties from these contaminated devices.

  • Avoid all contact with enemy drones and their wreckage.
  • Report any discovered debris to military or emergency responders.

Separately, it is worth noting that Russian military forces have reportedly lost Starlink satellite communication access across the entire front line, which may impact their operational capabilities. This tactic of weaponizing drones with poison marks a dangerous escalation in the conflict, highlighting the unconventional threats faced in modern warfare. It underscores the urgent need for heightened public safety awareness and protective measures among the Ukrainian population.
