Russians are storming Kup'yansk: what is the situation in the city currently.
According to inkorr.com: Russian troops are actively trying to establish themselves in the Ukrainian city of Kup'yansk. The head of the communications department of the Joint Forces Group, Viktor Trehubov, confirmed that the enemy is attempting to break through the city and establish a foothold closer to its center. However, there is currently no direct threat to Ukrainian units.
“Undoubtedly, the Russians are trying to create such conditions. They are trying to exert pressure from the side of Stepova Novosilka, break through the city itself, and establish themselves on its territory closer to the center,” said Trehubov.
The Situation in Kup'yansk
Enemy forces are trying to occupy the central part of Kup'yansk. The Ukrainian command asserts that the situation is under control, and there is currently no threat of encirclement.
Kup'yansk is undergoing a “cleansing” from Russian saboteurs, so the city is closed to civilians. Currently, about 680 residents remain in the city, who are being asked to evacuate due to the threat to their lives.
Ukrainian forces are demonstrating resilience and effectiveness in defending the territory, although the situation remains tense and Russian aggression continues to escalate. The enemy's attempts to establish themselves in this strategically important city could be the first step in the struggle for control over the region.
The situation in Kup'yansk reflects the tension of recent days, as enemy activity rises. In the midst of the ongoing conflict, it is important to continue supporting Ukrainian units that are defending the city, as well as ensuring the safety of local residents during evacuation. Events in this region could significantly impact the further course of the war in Ukraine.
