Series of Russian Attacks Hit Zaporizhzhia on March 19
According to Novyny.live: On March 19, Russian forces targeted infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia, cutting electricity to tens of thousands of customers and leaving at least one person injured. Air raid sirens sounded at 2:01 AM local time. The assault caused over 38,000 residential users and roughly 2,000 commercial accounts to lose power.
Authorities managed to restore electricity to more than 83% of affected customers. However, at the time of restoration efforts, 6,265 households and 305 businesses remained without power. One individual is reported injured and in serious condition.
Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, provided updates on the situation in the area.
This attack on Zaporizhzhia marks another escalation in a conflict that has now lasted over a year, highlighting the ongoing risks to civilian life and critical infrastructure in Ukraine. Local officials continue to prioritize power restoration and aid for those affected.
