NATO Assesses Russian Military Losses at Up to 25,000 Soldiers Per Month.
Russia's Mounting Casualties in the Ukraine War
According to UATV: According to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Russia is suffering losses of up to 25,000 soldiers each month in its war against Ukraine. The total losses for the Russian army have now reached 1.221 million military personnel. With the full-scale war now exceeding 1,418 days, the rate at which Russia is replenishing its forces is failing to keep pace with the demands of its military operations. This staggering attrition rate highlights the immense human cost of the Kremlin's invasion.
The Russian command had planned to establish 17 new divisions by 2025, but so far has only managed to form four. This indicates severe problems in staffing and equipping military units. Analysts project that Russia could lose an additional 300,000 soldiers in 2025 if the current situation on the front lines does not change.
Strategic Challenges for Russia and Support for Ukraine
Experts, such as Serhiy Hrabovsky, note that while the frontline situation remains complex,
"the price of this question for the adversary is becoming practically unbearable."
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasizes that
"our defense on the front is our strength in diplomacy."These factors suggest Russia is confronting significant challenges in its military campaign that could substantially influence the future course of the war. The sustained pressure is testing the limits of Russia's military-industrial capacity and manpower reserves.
Analysis of the situation indicates that Russia's persistent losses in personnel are creating major challenges for its military leadership and overall strategy. The failures in forming new divisions point to deep difficulties in mobilizing resources, which could lead to the destabilization of Russian military efforts. For Ukraine, these circumstances may become a crucial factor in continuing its resistance and strengthening its positions on the battlefield.
