Ukraine Faces 1,700 Drones, 1,500 Bombs, and 86 Missiles in a Single Week: Zelenskyy Urges Global Action.
Intensified Russian Aggression Puts Ukraine Under Heavy Fire
According to UATV: Over the past week, Russia launched a massive assault on Ukraine, deploying approximately 1,700 attack drones, more than 1,500 aerial bombs, and 86 missiles—over 20 of which were ballistic. On March 15, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed the urgent need for enhanced air defense supplies to counter the escalating threat. This latest barrage highlights the relentless pressure on Ukraine's infrastructure and civilian population.
“Each of these missiles contains at least 60 foreign components that were shipped to Russia in violation of sanctions.”
Volodymyr Zelenskyy
Zelenskyy emphasized the critical need to secure the skies against ballistic threats:
“If the world lacks enough air defense systems to protect both Europe and the Middle East from ballistic missiles simultaneously, we must strip the Russians of their ability to assemble these weapons in their factories.”
The president expressed gratitude to those enforcing sanctions, stating:
“I thank everyone who continues sanctions efforts to protect lives.”These remarks underscore the vital role of international support as Ukraine confronts an increasingly aggressive Russian campaign.
Global Support Remains Crucial
The situation in Ukraine remains dire as Russia persists with active military operations, raising alarm across the international community. The growing frequency of missile strikes and the use of foreign-made components in Russian weaponry threaten not only Ukraine but also regional stability. The need for timely deliveries of air defense systems is becoming ever more apparent as Ukraine struggles to defend its territory and people from fresh attacks.
